My travel journey began in college. Studying opera meant the opportunity to sing in German, French and Italian, which, along with my passion for music, would serve my travel goals for the long term. My parents did not help with college, so I was fortunate to obtain a full ride vocal performance scholarship, and I qualified for a grant for my junior semester to help with expenses. I used the grant to pay for the opportunity to participate in a trip to Europe.
The UCA concert choir had won an international award and we were invited to perform in Austria, Germany and Italy.

When I travel to places outside of my budget, I will still trim from my food and wine budget and just drink tea if I have to, in order to keep my long term financial goals in line without sacrificing my trip. A much better plan will be detailed for you in an upcoming post. Check the TIPS section for How To pay for your travel. Now you know how the Taurus mind works when it comes to manifesting our dreams.
Travel dreams have to be financed, skills must be worked on over long periods of time (super boring), choices must be made and priorities must be adhered to in order to bring them to bear. But to ride your bike alone into a national forest in Killarney, Ireland, and to see a castle that the sun is beaming down on, making it look as if it’s made of pure gold, makes all those boring hours of study, practice, research and sacrifice well worth it.
My unique background includes; boutique owner, wardrobe stylist, handbag designer, personal shopper, professional children’s entertainer, singer songwriter, actor, organic farmer, donkey tamer, and lover of the journey of expanding one’s opportunities through learning languages.
Another dimension of my life includes having inherited my remote, third generation family land in Paris, Arkansas. The universe gifted me with a cantankerous stray donkey who demanded to live on my land. He was terrified and dangerous and I had to learn how to communicate with him while keeping myself and the other animals on my farm safe. I wrote about the life changing experiences in my other blog at Bohemianfarm.com. I also shared how he bonded with my goat, Abba, and a rescued pitbull named Archibald. Follow me on Instagram to see video of Catalunya, the donkey I named for the Catalunya region of Spain’s mascot, the donkey. He enlightened me to many things that I needed to see. He was a gift from the universe and his arrival, just before Christmas, heralded the beginning of my deep dive into my own personal journey into trusting my intuition.
